Overview 3M 9004V Particulate Respirator Mask

The 3M 9004V disposable dust mask employs a tri-layer filtration system. Large particles are initially screened by the outer layer; the inner layer maintains structural integrity; while an electrostatically charged middle layer provides the primary filtration. This design achieves over 90% filtration efficiency for 0.3-micron particles—a size scientifically recognized as the most challenging to filter effectively. Intended for single-use respiratory protection against fine dust, the 3M 9004V is a top-selling product within the 3M safety range. Its contoured cup shape, coupled with an aluminum nose clip and neoprene straps, ensures a secure and comfortable fit. Importantly, the 3M 9004V is not an N95 respirator and offers no protection against acid, alkali, or gaseous contaminants.
