The 3M 9004V disposable respirator features a three-layer filtration system. Large particles are initially screened by the outer layer, while an electrostatic filter in the middle layer captures a significant portion of finer particles. The inner layer maintains the mask's structure. This design achieves filtration efficiency exceeding 90% for 0.3-micron particles—a size scientifically recognized as the most challenging to filter. Popular within the 3M safety product range, the 9004V offers protection against fine dust. Its comfortable, cupped design includes an adjustable aluminum nose clip and elastic straps for a secure fit. Important: This is not an N95 respirator and does not protect against gases, acids, alkalis, or other airborne chemicals.
