The Accu Test Dengue NS1 kit employs solid-phase immunochromatography to qualitatively detect dengue virus NS1 antigen in human serum or plasma. The test strip features anti-dengue NS1 monoclonal antibodies on the test line (T) and goat anti-mouse IgG on the control line (C). A positive sample, containing the dengue NS1 antigen, forms a complex with gold-conjugated antibodies, migrating via capillary action to produce a visible colored band at (T). A properly performed test always shows a band at (C). This rapid, qualitative assay is for professional use only, serving as an initial screening tool; positive results necessitate confirmation via methods like nucleic acid testing or other immunological assays.
