Overview Accu Test H.Pylori Antibody Card Test

The Accu Test H.Pylori Antibody Card offers a rapid diagnostic approach for various gastrointestinal ailments linked to *Helicobacter pylori* infection. This bacterium is implicated in a significant percentage of duodenal ulcers (over 90%), peptic ulcers (around 75%), and displays a strong correlation with gastric cancer risk, estimated to be six times higher in infected individuals. Globally prevalent, *H. pylori* infection rates vary; developed nations see approximately 50% infection by age 60, contrasting with 10-20% among younger adults. Transmission occurs via fecal-oral or oral-oral routes. Diagnosing *H. pylori* involves invasive methods (gastric biopsy via endoscopy— costly and potentially uncomfortable) and non-invasive techniques. Non-invasive options include urea breath tests (requiring specialized equipment) and serological tests like ELISA and Western blot, detecting antibodies generated by the immune system in response to the infection. The H. pylori Antibody Rapid Test Card employs a lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay for qualitative detection of *H. pylori* antibodies in whole blood, serum, or plasma, aiding in diagnosis. This double-antigen sandwich immunoassay utilizes capillary action to move the sample. Presence of *H. pylori* antibodies binds to conjugates, forming a visible pink-purple line on the test region; absence of antibodies results in no line. A control line always appears, confirming proper procedure. **Indications:** This test offers qualitative detection; line intensity doesn't correlate with antibody concentration. Results aid diagnosis only, requiring physician interpretation alongside patient history and other diagnostic data. A negative result suggests absent or undetectable antibodies. **Instructions:** Remove the cassette from its pouch immediately before use and place it on a flat surface. Add three drops of serum/plasma or one drop of whole blood (plus two drops of buffer) to the specimen well (S), start the timer, and read results at 15 minutes; avoid interpretation beyond 20 minutes. **Safety Precautions:** Store at 4-40°C in the sealed pouch until the expiry date. Use within one hour of pouch opening. Avoid prolonged exposure to heat and humidity. Read instructions carefully and keep out of reach of children.

How to Use Accu Test H.Pylori Antibody Card Test:

Extract the test cassette from its protective seal and perform the test immediately. Position the cassette on a clean, flat surface. Using a vertical dropper, add three drops of serum or plasma to the sample well (S) for serum/plasma samples; initiate the timer. For whole blood samples, dispense one drop (approximately 30μl) of whole blood into the sample well (S), followed by two drops (approximately 70μl) of buffer solution; start the timer. Interpret results after 15 minutes. Results obtained after 20 minutes are invalid.

Safety Instruction of Accu Test H.Pylori Antibody Card Test:

  • Keep the medication in its unopened pouch at a temperature between 4 and 40 degrees Celsius.
  • The product remains stable until the date indicated on its packaging.
  • After opening the sachet, the diagnostic should be administered within sixty minutes. High temperatures and humidity will degrade the test's efficacy.
