Briefly immerse (1-2 seconds) the reagent area in the urine, then gently remove excess urine by running the strip's edge along the container and lightly tapping. Compare the reagent areas to the color chart on the product label under good ambient light (avoid direct sunlight). Protein and pH levels are read immediately; glucose readings are taken after 30 seconds. Avoid direct contact between the strip and the color chart. If the color falls between two chart blocks, interpret as the closest match. Ignore any color changes occurring after 30 seconds; these are diagnostically irrelevant.
