ACCUDx CQ PCT Immunofluorescence Assay

Accurex Biomedical Pvt. Ltd

Product highlights

  • This assay is designed for the precise measurement of Procalcitonin (PCT) levels in serum, plasma, or whole blood samples.
  • Calcitonin, a hormone regulating calcium balance, is derived from the peptide precursor PCT.
  • This diagnostic test assists in the medical assessment of individuals suspected of suffering from bacterial infection, trauma, or shock.

Overview ACCUDx CQ PCT Immunofluorescence Assay

The ACCUDx CQ PCT Immunofluorescence Assay employs a fluorescence latex-conjugated anti-human PCT monoclonal antibody. The test strip features two test lines: line 1 coated with anti-human PCT polyclonal antibody, and line 2 with a distinct anti-human PCT monoclonal antibody. Following sample application, the labeled antibody binds to PCT, forming a detectable complex. Capillary action transports this complex to the detection zone, where it's captured by either polyclonal or monoclonal antibodies on the test lines. The resulting fluorescence intensity directly correlates with the sample's PCT concentration. Subsequent analysis using a Getein1100 or Getein1600 Immunofluorescence Quantitative Analyzer quantifies PCT levels, storing and enabling data export to hospital systems. Intended for in-vitro quantitative measurement of Procalcitonin (PCT) in serum, plasma, or whole blood, it assists in evaluating patients suspected of bacterial infection, trauma, or shock. **Product Specifications:** The Getein1100/Getein1600 automatically scans and displays results. PCT, a 116-amino acid peptide precursor to calcitonin (involved in calcium regulation), is produced by thyroid parafollicular cells (C cells) and neuroendocrine cells in the lungs and intestines. **Instructions:** Follow the user manual for specimen collection. Bring all components to room temperature before testing. For Getein1100, verify SD card and kit lot number congruity, performing calibration (*SD Card Calib*) if needed (consult section 8.5.2 of the Getein1100 manual). Initiate testing via the ENT button. Apply 100 µl of sample (or 3-4 drops with a disposable pipette) to the test card's designated area; add one drop of whole blood buffer to whole blood samples. After a 15-minute reaction, insert the card and press ENT. The Getein1600 utilizes an auto-calibrating RFID card per cartridge; place samples in the designated area, select the test, and the instrument automatically processes and prints results. **Safety Precautions:** For in-vitro diagnostic use by professionals only. Do not use beyond the expiration date, or if packaging is compromised. Avoid reuse of components. Handle samples as potentially infectious, adhering to safety protocols and local regulations. Consult the user manual for optimal performance.

How to Use ACCUDx CQ PCT Immunofluorescence Assay:

Ensure samples are obtained as per the product instructions. Allow test card, sample, and reagent to reach ambient temperature prior to analysis.
