Accurex Accu-Stix Test Strip

Accurex Biomedical Pvt. Ltd

Product highlights

  • A dipstick designed to provide a semi-quantitative assessment of urinary glucose and protein levels.
  • Urine glucose quantification relies on the glucose oxidase-peroxidase method, while urine protein measurement utilizes a protein error of indicator technique.
  • Accu-Sty test strips are packaged within a sealed plastic container including a moisture absorber.

Overview Accurex Accu-Stix Test Strip

Accu-Stix test strips employ glucose oxidase to convert urinary glucose into gluconic acid and hydrogen peroxide. Peroxidase then transforms hydrogen peroxide into water and nascent oxygen, which in turn releases iodine from potassium iodide, generating a color spectrum from green to brown. Protein detection utilizes the protein-error-of-indicator principle; at a consistent pH, any green coloration signifies protein presence. Color transitions range from yellow (negative) through yellow-green and green to green-blue (positive). These strips facilitate semi-quantitative assessment of urinary glucose and protein. Product features include a disposable, ready-to-use plastic strip with two reagent zones for glucose and protein analysis. Glucose detection leverages the glucose oxidase/peroxidase method, while protein detection relies on the protein-error-of-indicator principle. Semi-quantitative results are obtained within 30 seconds after dipping the strip into a urine sample. The strips are packaged in an airtight container with a desiccant. Instructions: Use fresh, uncentrifuged urine in a clean container. Remove a single strip, immediately recapping the bottle. Submerge the reagent zones for 1-2 seconds, removing excess urine by gently running the edge along the container's rim. Compare the reagent areas to the color chart on the bottle label, reading protein results immediately and glucose results after 30 seconds under adequate (non-direct sunlight) illumination. Safety Precautions: Keep strips in their original container; do not transfer or remove the desiccant. Use strips immediately after removal; securely recap the bottle. Avoid refrigeration; store at room temperature (below 35°C). Protect from moisture to prevent degradation. Avoid touching the reagent areas of unused strips. Use all strips within six months of opening the bottle.

How to Use Accurex Accu-Stix Test Strip:

Using a clean, dry container, obtain a well-mixed, unspun urine sample. Remove a single test strip, promptly recapping the bottle. Submerge the reagent pads for 1–2 seconds; gently remove the strip, drawing its edge along the container's rim to eliminate excess urine. Compare the resulting reagent pad colors to the bottle label's color chart. Protein levels are immediately discernible; glucose levels require a 30-second wait before comparison with the chart under adequate, indirect lighting.

Safety Instruction of Accurex Accu-Stix Test Strip:

  • Keep the test strips in their original container.
  • Keep the desiccant in the bottle.
  • Discard the Accu-Stiy immediately after use. Replace the cap securely following reagent strip removal.
  • Keep out of the refrigerator. Store Acoustix at room temperature, below 35°C.
  • Keep Accu-Stix reagent strips dry to maintain their quality throughout storage.
  • Avoid contact with the reagent zones on any unapplied test strips.
  • Reagent strips should be discarded six months after initial container access.
