Overview Accurex Accudx CQ IL-6 Fast Test Kit

The AccuDx CQ IL-6 Rapid Assay Kit quantifies Interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels in human serum, plasma, whole blood, and peripheral blood. Serving as an early indicator of acute inflammation, this test aids in diagnosing inflammatory conditions. Employing fluorescence immunoassay, the kit utilizes anti-human IL-6 monoclonal antibodies conjugated to fluorescent latex beads on the nitrocellulose membrane. Upon sample application, fluorescently-labeled antibody-IL-6 complexes form and are captured by a second antibody on the test line. Resultant fluorescence intensity directly correlates with IL-6 concentration. Subsequently, the test strip is inserted into the AccuDx CQ Immunofluorescence Quantitative Analyzer (or automatically loaded), measuring and displaying the IL-6 concentration, which is then stored and downloadable. Results are readily transferable to hospital or laboratory information systems. This immunofluorescence assay quantitatively determines IL-6 in the aforementioned sample types. IL-6, a cytokine crucial in inflammation and B-cell maturation, is primarily produced at inflammation sites, inducing a transcriptional inflammatory response via a receptor complex comprising an α-chain (IL-6Rα) and a β-chain (gp130). Various cells synthesize IL-6, including monocytes, fibroblasts, endothelial cells, keratinocytes, mast cells, T cells, and numerous tumor cell lines. Acting as a B-cell differentiation and T-cell activation factor, IL-6 is a myeloma growth factor and synergistically influences hematopoietic progenitor cell differentiation with IL-3. Elevated serum/plasma IL-6 indicates conditions such as sepsis, autoimmune diseases, lymphomas, AIDS, liver disease, infections, and transplant rejection. Testing involves collecting specimens (per manual), equilibrating components to room temperature, confirming SD card and kit lot numbers (calibrating the SD card if needed), accessing the AccuDx CQ interface, and removing the test strip. After labeling, 100 µL of sample (or a drop of whole blood added to 100 µL) is applied; after a 15-minute reaction, the strip is inserted into the AccuDx CQ. Results are displayed and printed. This kit is for in-vitro diagnostic use only; observe expiration dates, handle specimens as potentially infectious, and adhere to local disposal regulations. Consult the user manual for complete instructions.
