Accurex Tristix urine reagent strips offer a convenient, single-use method for semi-quantitative urinalysis. This disposable plastic strip features three reagent areas for simultaneous glucose, protein, and pH determination. Simply dip the strip into a fresh urine sample for 1-2 seconds, remove excess urine, and compare the resulting color changes to the provided chart within 30 seconds (glucose) or immediately (protein, pH). No additional laboratory equipment is needed. Tristix utilizes a double sequential enzyme reaction for glucose detection (glucose oxidase and peroxidase), a protein-error-of-indicator method for protein assessment, and a double indicator system for pH measurement. The colorimetric reactions produce distinct color gradations correlating to the concentration of each analyte. Packaged in an airtight container with desiccant, Tristix strips should be stored at room temperature (below 35°C) and used before the expiry date. Results between color blocks should be interpreted as intermediate values. Color changes after 30 seconds are not diagnostically relevant. For in-vitro diagnostic use only.

How to Use Accurex All Test Urinalysis Reagent Strips:

Using a clean, dry container, obtain a well-mixed, unspun urine sample. Remove a single test strip from the bottle, promptly replacing and securing the cap. Submerge the reagent area in urine for 1-2 seconds; gently remove, running the strip's edge against the container to eliminate excess fluid. Compare the strip to the label's color chart under adequate (but not direct) sunlight. Protein and pH results are immediate; glucose readings require a 30-second wait. Avoid direct contact between the strip and the chart to prevent contamination. If the strip's color lies between two chart blocks, interpolate the result. Color shifts beyond 30 seconds lack quantitative diagnostic significance.
