Overview Accurex T3 Fast Test Kit
The Accurex T3 Fast Test Kit quantitatively measures serum and plasma triiodothyronine (T3), a thyroid hormone released in response to thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). This assay is crucial for diagnosing thyroid disorders, particularly identifying hyperthyroidism variants in patients exhibiting elevated T3 with normal thyroxine (T4) levels. The test utilizes fluorescence-labeled anti-human T3 monoclonal antibodies bound to latex particles on the nitrocellulose membrane. Upon sample application, these antibodies complex with T3, migrating via capillary action to the test line where T3 antigens capture the complex. Fluorescence intensity directly correlates with T3 concentration. Subsequently, the AccuDx CQ immunofluorescence analyzer measures and displays the T3 level, storing data for retrieval and transfer to healthcare facilities. Clinical applications encompass hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism monitoring, and aiding thyroid function assessments. Kit contents: 25 AccuDx CQ T3 test cards with desiccant, 25 disposable pipettes, 1 blood sample diluent vial, 1 SD card, and 1 user manual. The diluent contains phosphate-buffered saline, proteins, detergent, preservatives, and stabilizers. Each test card comprises a plastic casing, a reagent strip (with fluorescence-labeled anti-human T3 monoclonal antibodies at the sample pad junction, T3 antigens on the test line, and a control line), absorbent paper, and a liner. After inserting the card into the AccuDx CQ (following a 15-minute reaction time after adding 100 µl of diluted sample to the test card's sample port), results appear on the screen. The procedure necessitates bringing reagents and samples to room temperature, confirming SD card and kit lot number compatibility, potential "SD card calib" calibration (refer to Getein 1100 user manual 8.5.2), and proper sample collection. Safety precautions include careful label review, cool, dry storage away from sunlight, and adherence to handling and disposal guidelines. Single use of test cards and pipettes is mandatory. Avoid using damaged pouches or expired kits. Treat all specimens as potentially infectious.
How to Use Accurex T3 Fast Test Kit:
Gather samples as per the instruction manual. Ensure the test card, sample, and reagent reach ambient temperature prior to analysis. Verify the SD card lot number matches the test kit lot number. Calibrate the SD card using the "SD card calib" function if needed (consult section 8.5.2 of the Getein 1100 user manual). On the Getein 1100 main screen, initiate testing by pressing "ENT." Immediately before use, remove the test card from its packaging and label it with the patient or control identifier. Position the test card horizontally on a clean surface. Using a transfer pipette, add 100 μl of sample to one vial of sample diluent, mixing gently but completely. Subsequently, dispense 100 μl (or three drops using a disposable pipette) of this mixture into the test card's sample well. After a 10-minute incubation, insert the test card into the Getein 1100 and press "ENT." The results will display on the screen.
