Overview Accurex Xpress Glucometer Kit
The Accurex Xpress Glucometer system accurately measures blood glucose levels using samples from various body sites, including the forearm, upper arm, hand, thigh, calf, or fingers. This external-use system provides readings that can fluctuate based on dietary intake and time of day. Establish personalized testing times and target glucose ranges, and always consult your physician regarding results. The Xpress Gluco kit comprises a glucose meter, ten test strips, a multi-use lancing device, ten sterile lancets, user manual, warranty card, and an instruction sheet. Key features include: <5% CV, automatic strip detection, amperometric biosensor technology, 5-second auto-shutoff, mg/dL display, 10-95% relative humidity operational range (non-condensing), 2-50°C operating temperature, 0.5µL sample volume (whole blood, capillary), strip pack sizes (10, 25, 100), 20-800 mg/dL measurement range, 48° (diagonal) display, replaceable 3V CR2032 lithium battery, plasma-equivalent results, ISO 15197:2013 compliance, and effortless wireless synchronization. Its GOD-based glucose measurement, coupled with strip ejection and auto-detection, ensures 98% accuracy and ease of use. Code-free operation simplifies the process. Absence of hematocrit interference makes it ideal for ICU environments. **Directions:** Insert a test strip into the meter; the meter will self-check and display a flashing blood drop symbol. Obtain a blood sample (at least 0.5µL) after washing and drying your hands. Apply the sample to the test strip's top edge until the test zone fills, then wait for the result (displayed after 5 seconds with a beep). The result is automatically stored; eject the strip to power off. Refer to the user manual for detailed instructions. Dispose of used lancets and strips properly. **Important Notes:** Severe dehydration may lead to falsely low readings. Consult a doctor if severely dehydrated. Readings below 70 mg/dL indicate hypoglycemia, while readings above 180 mg/dL suggest hyperglycemia. Repeat tests for values outside this range, unless symptoms are present. Consult your doctor if symptoms don't align with your results or persist. **Safety Precautions:** Read the label thoroughly before use. Store in a cool, dry, and dark place, out of children's reach. Compatible with Accurex test strips only (available in packs of 10 and 100). Battery life: 1000 tests; strip shelf life: 15 months (from manufacturing date); memory: 500 tests.
How to Use Accurex Xpress Glucometer Kit:
Preparation: Remove a test strip from the vial, immediately resealing it. Insert the strip fully into the meter's designated slot; the meter will power on and initiate self-diagnostics. A flashing blood drop icon will indicate readiness for sample application. Sample Acquisition: Cleanse your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water, ensuring they are completely dry. Use the lancing device to obtain a blood sample. Gently compress the puncture site until a well-formed blood droplet (at least 0.5µL) appears. Testing Procedure: While the blood drop symbol flashes, carefully touch the test strip's upper edge to the blood droplet, ensuring contact with the designated test zone. The strip will draw the blood automatically. Maintain contact until the test zone is completely filled and the meter beeps, signaling completion. The meter will then display a countdown (4, 3, 2, 1). If the test zone fails to fill, discard the strip and repeat with a new one. Results: After a five-second processing period, the glucose reading will appear on the meter's display, accompanied by an audible beep. The result is automatically stored. Turn off the meter by removing the strip and disposing of it properly. Consult your user manual for comprehensive instructions. Used lancets and strips are biohazardous; dispose of them according to local regulations. Important Considerations: Severe dehydration can lead to falsely low readings. Consult a physician immediately if you suspect dehydration. Readings below 70 mg/dL suggest hypoglycemia (low blood sugar), while readings above 180 mg/dL indicate hyperglycemia (high blood sugar). Repeat testing for values outside the 70-180 mg/dL range if symptoms are absent. Persistent readings outside this range, or readings accompanied by symptoms, warrant immediate consultation with your healthcare provider. Discrepancies between test results and experienced symptoms, even after following all instructions, necessitate contacting your healthcare professional.
