Key components function as follows: Sodium chloride maintains fluid balance and supports cellular function. Potassium chloride is crucial for hydration, acid-base equilibrium, nerve and muscle activity, and cardiovascular, renal, and adrenal health. Dextrose anhydrous, pure glucose, offers immediate energy and serves as the primary ORS component.
