Extract the pad and lay it flat on the intended surface, with the folded edges pointing upwards. Unfold the pad gently, away from your body, separating the sections. Position the pad so the absorbent, non-coated side faces up. This soft surface will wick away moisture, while the protective backing prevents leakage. The user should then lie on the absorbent side.
