For wounds with undermining or tunneling, incorporate collofibre into a saline paste or solution to facilitate penetration into these areas. Finally, cover the wound with a suitable non-adherent dressing. The initial application frequency of collofibre is daily, gradually reducing to every 2–3 days based on wound healing progress and the surgeon's recommendations, until the wound is ready for grafting or flap closure.
