Overview Cologenesis Colloskin Collagen Sheet Dressing

Bovisource Collagen Sheet Dressing, a sterile, bovine-derived collagen sheet, offers a widely accepted biological wound treatment, particularly for burn injuries. Its efficacy extends to patients with HIV and hepatitis. Applications include: non-infective second-degree burns; superficial and deep dermal burns (as a temporary covering for third-degree burns); traumatic skin loss; temporary coverage of major open fractures; and skin graft donor sites. Product characteristics: possesses antibacterial properties to reduce infection risk; provides secure, breathable adhesion; maintains local temperature and encourages healthy granulation tissue formation; promotes rapid granulation in deep wounds, facilitating early grafting; durable, flexible, and disposable; gamma-irradiated sterilization; collagen sheet preserved in an isopropyl alcohol/water solution. Instructions: Cleanse and prepare the wound site to remove debris; thoroughly debride infected wounds; remove the dressing from its preservative, gently squeezing out excess fluid; rinse thoroughly (2-3 times) with sterile saline to remove the alcohol preservative; apply firmly to the wound, smoothing out air bubbles; avoid secondary dressings; the sheet will naturally detach as the wound heals; reapplication is unnecessary unless signs of infection (pus) or complications arise; for skin donor sites, apply after achieving hemostasis; for chronic ulcers, repeat application (2-3 times every 2-3 days) after thorough cleansing; to aid removal, apply a moistened saline compress for several minutes. Precautions: Single-use only; store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight; read instructions carefully before use; keep out of reach of children; for external use exclusively.

How to Use Cologenesis Colloskin Collagen Sheet Dressing:

Cleanse and prepare affected sites to remove surface contaminants. Debride infected wounds completely. Remove the collagen dressing from its solution and gently express excess preservative. Rinse the dressing thoroughly in sterile saline solution two to three times to eliminate residual alcohol. Apply the dressing firmly to the wound, ensuring no air pockets remain for optimal adherence. Avoid secondary dressings over the collagen sheet for best outcomes. The dressing will detach naturally as the wound heals. Redressing isn't necessary unless the dressing is rejected due to infection or complications. For skin graft sites, apply the dressing only after adequate bleeding control. Chronic ulcers may benefit from two to three applications of the dressing at two-to-three day intervals, following thorough cleansing each time, to promote healing. If removal is necessary, a saline-moistened compress can facilitate easy detachment after a few minutes of application.
