Overview Cologenesis Meshed Collagen Sheet Biological Dressing
Biologic Cologenesis collagen mesh dressing, a sterile, moist sheet, facilitates drainage from infected or draining burns and wounds. Widely adopted for burn wound care, its efficacy extends to patients with HIV or hepatitis. Applications include: partial-thickness burns (second degree), superficial and deep dermal burns; temporary coverage for full-thickness burns (third degree); traumatic skin loss; temporary coverage in major open fractures; and skin graft donor sites. Key properties include inherent antibacterial action to minimize infection risk; rapid, secure adherence with breathability; maintenance of local warmth and promotion of healthy granulation tissue; accelerated healing and preparation for grafting in deep wounds; durability, flexibility, and disposability; gamma sterilization; and a preservation medium of isopropyl alcohol and water. Instructions: Begin with thorough wound cleansing and debridement of infected areas. Remove the dressing from its packaging, gently squeezing out excess preservative. Rinse thoroughly (2-3 times) with sterile saline to remove residual alcohol. Apply firmly to the wound, ensuring no air bubbles remain. Avoid secondary dressings; the sheet will naturally detach with epithelialization. Redressing is only necessary if the sheet is rejected due to infection or complications. For donor sites, apply after achieving hemostasis. Chronic ulcers may benefit from 2-3 applications every 2-3 days, following thorough cleansing. For removal, a moistened saline compress can facilitate easier detachment. Precautions: Single use only. Store at room temperature, away from direct sunlight. Always read the label before use. Keep out of children’s reach. For external use only.
How to Use Cologenesis Meshed Collagen Sheet Biological Dressing:
Cleanse and prepare affected areas to remove surface contaminants. Debride infected wounds completely. Remove the collagen dressing from its packaging and gently express any residual preservative. Rinse the dressing thoroughly in sterile saline solution (2-3 times) to eliminate the alcohol-based preservative. Apply the dressing firmly to the wound, ensuring complete contact to prevent air pockets. Avoid secondary dressings for optimal performance. The collagen dressing will detach naturally as the wound heals. Redressing is unnecessary unless the dressing is rejected due to infection or complications. For skin grafts, apply the dressing only after achieving adequate hemostasis. Chronic ulcers may benefit from 2-3 applications of the dressing every 2-3 days, following thorough cleansing between applications to promote healing. To remove a adhered dressing, apply a moistened saline compress for several minutes to aid removal.
