Intended for at-home use without a prescription, it's suitable for self-collected samples from individuals 18 and older, or adult-collected samples from those aged 2 and older. This test aids in SARS-CoV-2 infection diagnosis; a positive result is considered presumptively positive. However, negative results require correlation with clinical symptoms, patient history, and epidemiological data. Individuals with symptoms who receive a negative rapid antigen test (RAT) should undergo RT-PCR testing to confirm the absence of COVID-19. Pending RT-PCR results, home isolation and treatment are recommended, as RAT negativity doesn't always definitively rule out infection.
