This cream treats and prevents infections in minor, superficial burns, offering immediate relief as a first-aid measure for first-degree burns. First-degree burns, resulting from contact with hot objects, fluids, steam, or sun, affect only the skin's outer layer, causing mild pain, redness, and swelling. The cream reduces infection risk and speeds healing. Its active components, aminacrine HCL and cetrimide, possess antimicrobial and antiseptic properties. Aminacrine HCL, a topical antimicrobial, combats burn infections. Cetrimide's antibacterial action targets both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, making it useful for minor cuts and abrasions. First and second-degree burns smaller than three inches in diameter can be self-treated, but severe burns require hospital attention.
