Auralin solution comprises paradichlorobenzene, benzocaine, chlorobutanol, and turpentine oil. Paradichlorobenzene aids cerumen removal, while benzocaine provides analgesia and pruritus relief. Auralin treats ear pain and itching associated with conditions such as otitis media with congestion and otitis externa. Administration: Position the patient laterally with the affected ear uppermost. Instill 5-10 drops of Auralin into the auditory canal. Introduce a cotton pledget, leaving it in place for 15-30 minutes. Gently remove softened cerumen with a cotton swab. Flush the canal with lukewarm water using a bulb syringe, avoiding forceful irrigation. Reapply Auralin, followed by a cotton pledget, to deter fungal growth. Repeat this process daily for seven days. If both ears are affected, treat concurrently. Use under professional medical guidance.
