Facitab XT tablets contain ferrous ascorbate, folic acid, and zinc sulfate monohydrate. Ferrous ascorbate, a stable iron-ascorbic acid complex, offers superior absorption compared to ferrous sulfate. Its chelated structure remains intact upon entering the gastrointestinal tract, ensuring consistent iron release in the intestine. Folic acid, a crucial B vitamin, supports healthy cell production and is vital for preventing neural tube defects in developing fetuses when taken pre- and during pregnancy. Zinc plays a key role in iron metabolism, anemia prevention, and maintaining maternal and infant health, including promoting a healthy birth weight and reducing the risk of preterm delivery. Indications include helminthic infections in children, iron deficiency, pregnancy and lactation support, anemia from significant blood loss, and chronic fatigue.
