Fejet XT tablets provide ferrous ascorbate (a combination of iron and vitamin B9, folic acid). Folic acid plays a vital role in various bodily processes, including DNA synthesis and homocysteine metabolism, crucial for periods of rapid cellular growth. Adequate folic acid intake is essential for healthy red blood cell production in both children and adults, preventing anemia. Iron, a key component of hemoglobin, facilitates oxygen transport throughout the body, supporting energy levels and red blood cell maintenance, thereby preventing anemia. Fejet XT tablets are indicated for treating iron deficiency anemia, including that resulting from chronic blood loss, insufficient dietary iron, or nutritional deficiencies, particularly during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
