Ferobid-XT tablets provide carbonyl iron, folic acid, and zinc sulfate. Carbonyl iron supplies iron, crucial for oxygen transport throughout the body and red blood cell maintenance, promoting energy levels and preventing anemia. Folic acid plays a vital role in various bodily processes, including nucleotide synthesis and homocysteine remethylation, particularly crucial for rapid cell growth and division. Both children and adults need folic acid for healthy red blood cell production and anemia prevention. Zinc sulfate is especially important during pregnancy; zinc is essential for normal fetal development and supports blood cell formation and maturation. Indications include iron-deficiency anemia, including nutritional anemia (especially during pregnancy and lactation), and anemia from chronic blood loss or insufficient iron intake. Ferobid-XT tablets should be taken orally with water after meals under medical guidance.
