Each Folired-M tablet combines ferrous fumarate (iron) and folic acid (vitamin B9). Folic acid plays a vital role in various bodily processes, including nucleotide production and homocysteine metabolism, particularly crucial during periods of rapid cellular proliferation. Adequate folic acid intake is necessary for both children and adults to produce healthy red blood cells and avoid anemia. Iron, essential for oxygen transport and red blood cell maintenance, contributes to vitality and prevents anemia. Folired-M tablets are indicated for treating iron deficiency anemia, including anemia resulting from chronic blood loss or insufficient iron intake, and nutritional anemia, especially prevalent during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
