DermaZinc, a topical solution combining zinc pyrithione and polytar, effectively cleanses the scalp. This medicated formulation, enhanced with a conditioning agent, targets itching and scaling associated with various scalp conditions by eliminating surface pathogens. Polytar, derived from coal processing, offers temporary symptomatic relief of dryness, redness, flaking, and itching often seen in psoriasis, though it's not a curative treatment. DermaZinc is indicated for seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, dandruff, eczema, and scalp pruritus. Directions: After shaking, apply to wet hair, massaging into the scalp and surrounding skin. Leave for 2-3 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. Use 2-3 times weekly for 3 weeks, or until improvement is observed. For maintenance, apply once weekly. Avoid eye contact.
