How to Use FreeStyle Optium Blood Glucose Test Strip:

Employ the FreeStyle Optium glucose meter for blood sugar level assessment. Apply a blood sample droplet to the test strip's end to obtain a meter reading.

Safety Instruction of FreeStyle Optium Blood Glucose Test Strip:

  • Apply the test strip directly upon removing it from its foil pouch.
  • Maintain your test strips within a temperature range of 4°C to 30°C (39°F to 86°F). Improper storage temperatures can compromise test accuracy. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight and excessive heat.
  • Every test strip is for single use only; dispose of it afterward.
  • Discard expired test strips. Confirm the expiration date shown on the container and each individual strip's packaging. If only the year and month are provided, the expiration date is the final day of that month. For instance, an expiration of 'EXP 2014/03' indicates the strip expires on March 31, 2014.
  • Discard any test strip showing signs of moisture, bending, scratching, or other damage.
  • Discard the test strip if its foil pouch is damaged or compromised.
  • Keep out of reach of children. Small components present a choking risk.
  • Always check the product label before administration.
  • Keep in a cool, dry location, shielded from direct sunlight.
  • Store where children cannot access.
