Native type II collagen and the selective 5-lipoxygenase inhibitor aflapin® are combined in Hapid Capsules to address osteoarthritis. This dual-action approach involves the native collagen modulating the immune response to the body's own type II collagen, while aflapin® potently inhibits leukotriene production and other inflammatory mediators via its action on the 5-LOX pathway, thus reducing joint inflammation and damage.
