The pen accepts 3ml pre-filled insulin cartridges (Biocon's Insugen-R, Insugen-N, Insugen-30/70, and Basalog refills), requiring sterile, disposable 4mm, 32G hypodermic needles. Usage involves removing the pen cap, retracting the plunger, and administering the prescribed dose. Important safety precautions include careful label review, cool and dry storage away from children and direct sunlight, protection from moisture and dust, single-patient use, needle changes after each injection, and injection site rotation. After use, replace the cap and store at room temperature. Avoid massaging the injection site or using alcohol swabs. Suitable for Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes management, the pen addresses insulin deficiency or resistance. Remove Insupen pro from its protective case, remove the pen cap, and then unscrew the cartridge holder. Holding the pen body firmly, use your other hand to carefully depress the plunger rod completely into the pen's injection chamber. Confirm the plunger is fully retracted.
