A lighter-than-0.02% blue color indicates the presence of urine alcohol below 0.02% blood alcohol equivalent. If only the outer edges of the color pad show color, repeat the test to ensure proper saturation. This test is single-use only. Intended for urine alcohol screening, the cassette displays a color change in the presence of alcohol, ranging from light blue (approximately 0.02% blood alcohol equivalent) to dark blue (near 0.30% blood alcohol equivalent). Color pads aid in approximating blood alcohol concentration. Results between color pads are interpreted as intermediate values. A lack of color change signifies a negative result. Discard tests exhibiting pre-existing blue coloration. Allow the cassette to reach room temperature (15-30°C) before use. Utilize within one hour of opening. Bring the enclosed test device to room temperature (15-30°C) before initiating the assay. Remove the device from its protective seal and perform the test within 60 minutes. Examine the indicator zone in the device's viewing window. Discard the device if the indicator displays a blue tint prior to sample addition. Place the device on a stable, clean surface. Using a vertical dropper, carefully add three full drops of urine (approximately 120µL) to the sample well, immediately starting the timer. Ensure no air bubbles enter the sample well. Interpret the result after 3-5 minutes. Match the indicator's color to the provided color chart to quantify the blood alcohol concentration.
