Overview Lacolite Powder

Lacolyte Powder, a hypotonic oral rehydration solution (ORS), comprises sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium citrate, anhydrous dextrose, *Lactobacillus*, *Saccharomyces boulardii*, and glucose. This formulation replenishes fluids and electrolytes depleted by chronic salt loss (e.g., diarrhea, vomiting), mitigates hemodialysis-associated muscle cramps, and corrects fluid and electrolyte imbalances. Lacolyte Powder is also indicated for hypokalemia prophylaxis and treatment. Administration: 1. Mix the sachet contents with the prescribed volume of potable water. 2. If potable water is unavailable, boil water for at least 10 minutes, then cool before mixing. 3. Thoroughly stir and administer to the child via cup or spoon. Use only under a physician's guidance.
