Lacolite Syrup, an oral rehydration solution (ORS) with low osmolarity, comprises sodium chloride, potassium chloride, sodium citrate, and anhydrous dextrose. Sodium chloride is vital for maintaining proper fluid balance within the body, supporting cellular function. Potassium, a crucial electrolyte, plays a key role in hydration, acid-base equilibrium, and the healthy functioning of muscles, nerves, heart, kidneys, and adrenal glands. Anhydrous dextrose, the purest form of glucose, offers rapid energy replenishment and is the cornerstone of many ORS formulations. Lacolite Syrup is indicated for treating gastroenteritis, electrolyte deficiencies, heatstroke/exhaustion, dehydration (including that resulting from strenuous activity), and managing diarrhea and vomiting.
