Pot M Syrup utilizes magnesium citrate and potassium citrate as its primary active components. Potassium citrate's mechanism involves altering renal citrate processing, thereby increasing urinary citrate levels and producing urine less likely to facilitate the precipitation of calcium oxalate, calcium phosphate, and uric acid stones. This action also suppresses the spontaneous formation of calcium oxalate and calcium phosphate crystals. Magnesium citrate concurrently works to hinder calcium oxalate crystal development in urine. Pot M Syrup is indicated for: maintaining electrolyte equilibrium, preventing and managing kidney stones, supporting renal health, and specifically preventing calcium oxalate nephrolithiasis.
