Redifer tablets provide a combination of sodium feredetate (an iron source), folic acid, zinc sulfate, and vitamin B12. Iron, delivered via sodium feredetate, facilitates oxygen transport, maintaining red blood cell health and promoting energy levels, thereby preventing anemia; it's also formulated for reduced gastrointestinal upset compared to other iron supplements. Folic acid plays a vital role in various cellular processes, including DNA synthesis and homocysteine metabolism, crucial for rapid cell growth and red blood cell production, preventing anemia in both children and adults. Zinc sulfate and vitamin B12 are especially beneficial during pregnancy, with zinc supporting fetal development and vitamin B12 contributing to blood cell maturation. Redifer tablets are indicated for iron-deficiency anemia (including nutritional anemia prevalent during pregnancy and lactation) and anemia stemming from chronic blood loss or insufficient iron intake. Administer orally with water after meals, under a healthcare professional's guidance.
