Relyte Powder, a WHO-standard Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS), combines dextrose with vital electrolytes—sodium chloride, potassium chloride, and sodium citrate—to replenish fluids and electrolytes depleted by dehydration. This is crucial for conditions such as diarrhea, vomiting, muscle cramps, and heat exhaustion during strenuous activity in hot, humid conditions. Key ingredient roles: Sodium chloride maintains fluid balance and supports cellular function. Potassium chloride is vital for water balance, acid-base equilibrium, and proper muscle, nerve, heart, kidney, and adrenal function. Dextrose anhydrous, the purest form of glucose, provides rapid energy and is a primary component of ORS. Trisodium citrate dihydrate, a citric acid salt, is created by fully neutralizing citric acid with a high-purity sodium source. Directions: 1. Add one packet of Relyte to the provided measuring cup. 2. Add 200ml of fresh, cold water (boiled and cooled for infants). 3. Stir thoroughly until dissolved.
