Use: Profuse, unproductive cough with rattling chest sounds and a constricted feeling in the chest. Bronchial congestion is significant. Coughing fits are followed by gasping. Each 5 ml contains: Antim Tart 6x (1.00 ml), Ipecac 6x (1.00 ml), Hepar Sulph 6x (0.75 ml), Kali Bich 6x (0.75 ml), Pulsatilla 6x (0.75 ml), Rhus Tox 6x (0.75 ml). Mechanism: Antimonium Tartaricum 6x addresses a deep, rattling cough with chest congestion and potential emesis. Ipecacuanha 6x is indicated for a cough causing shortness of breath, often accompanied by chills and rigidity. Hepar Sulphur 6x may be helpful for coughs resulting from chilling of a limb. Kali Bichromicum 6x is considered for infants with thick, stringy nasal discharge. Pulsatilla 6x is relevant for a shaking cough predominantly occurring in the evenings or mornings.
