The perennial herb *Iris versicolor*, also called blue flag, offers a remedy addressing various ailments. Symptoms it may alleviate include digestive distress: loss of appetite, intense burning sensations throughout the gastrointestinal tract, bloody and bile-tinged vomiting, excessive salivation, and a burning mouth and tongue feeling scalded. Watery diarrhea accompanied by anal and intestinal burning may also respond. Ear symptoms such as deafness coupled with tinnitus (ringing, buzzing, or roaring) are also indicated.
