Blue flag (Iris versicolor) is a homeopathic preparation derived from the perennial blue flag herb. Its traditional uses include addressing digestive distress characterized by appetite loss, intense burning sensations throughout the gastrointestinal tract, bloody and bile-tinged vomiting, excessive salivation, and a burning mouth and tongue feeling as if scalded. Watery diarrhea with anal and intestinal burning is also a noted symptom. Additionally, it may be considered for ear-related symptoms, such as deafness accompanied by tinnitus (ringing, buzzing, or roaring). Headaches, particularly those affecting the right side and preceded by blurred vision after mental exertion, are often worse at night, during rest, and in the evening, improving with movement.
