Blue flag (Iris versicolor) is a perennial herb used to create a homeopathic remedy. Its applications include relief from digestive distress characterized by appetite loss, intense burning sensations throughout the gastrointestinal tract, bloody and bile-tinged vomiting, excessive salivation, and a burning, scalded feeling in the mouth and throat. Watery diarrhea with anal and intestinal burning is also a potential symptom addressed. Furthermore, this remedy may aid in cases of tinnitus (ringing, buzzing, roaring in the ears) accompanied by hearing loss. Headaches, especially right-sided, worsened by rest and evenings but eased by movement, frequently preceded by blurred vision after periods of intense mental exertion, may also respond.
