Characterized by rapidly migrating pains, its key symptoms include thick, tenacious, yellow-green nasal discharge; brow ache; nasal septum ulceration; anosmia; violent sneezing; nasal congestion; and pressure/stabbing pain at the nasal root. Children, particularly robust infants, are often affected. The nasal discharge may form tough, stringy plugs, leaving raw areas. Throat symptoms involve redness, burning, swelling, and even diphtheritic conditions, with a relaxed, edematous uvula.
