Mercury cyanide-based Mercurius Cyanatus finds application in treating acute illnesses, particularly respiratory and oral ailments. Symptoms indicating its potential use include: intense agitation, anger outbursts, excessive speech; sunken eyes and pallid complexion. Oral manifestations may include extensive ulceration, pale tongue, excessive salivation, foul breath, swollen and painful salivary glands, and gray membrane-covered mouth ulcers. Throat symptoms can present as rawness, ulceration, inflamed areas (particularly in those who frequently speak), hoarseness, and painful swallowing. Severe cases may involve necrosis of the soft palate and throat. Additional symptoms include intense throat redness, nosebleeds, diphtheria of the nose and larynx, nausea, bilious or bloody vomiting, hiccups, abdominal pain and tenderness, intense rectal pain, anal redness, frequent bloody stools with tenesmus, foul-smelling, gangrenous discharge, black stools, dark amber, painful, scant, albuminous urine, nephritis with weakness and chills, and urinary suppression. The skin may be clammy and cold. Dosage: As directed by a physician. Compatible with conventional medications. Adverse effects: None reported.
