Mercury cyanide is the constituent of Mercurius Cyanatus. Its application is chiefly in acute illnesses, particularly respiratory distress and oral ailments. Symptoms indicating its use include: intense agitation, fits of rage; irritability; excessive speech; sunken eyes; pallor. The mouth exhibits ulcerations, a pale tongue, excessive salivation, foul breath, swollen and painful salivary glands, and grayish membranes on oral ulcers. The throat feels raw and sore, with ulcerated and inflamed mucous membranes, particularly noticeable in those who speak frequently; hoarseness and speaking are painful. Necrotic tissue damage may affect the soft palate and throat. The throat is intensely reddened, and swallowing is arduous. Dark nasal bleeding may occur, along with diphtheria of the larynx and nose. Nausea, vomiting (bilious and bloody), and hiccups are common. Abdominal pain and tenderness are present. Rectal symptoms involve excruciating pain, anal redness, frequent hemorrhaging, tenesmus, and fetid, gangrenous discharge. Stools may be black. Urine is amber, painful, albuminous, and scant; nephritis with severe weakness and chills may also occur, along with urinary suppression. The skin is moist and icy cold. Dosage: As directed by a physician. Compatible with conventional medications. Side Effects: None reported. Precautions: Administer at least thirty minutes apart from food, drink, and other medications. Avoid strong-smelling substances such as camphor, garlic, onion, coffee, and asafoetida while using this remedy. Use only under professional medical guidance.
