Mercury cyanide-based Mercurius Cyanatus finds application in treating acute illnesses, particularly respiratory and oral ailments. Characteristically, it's indicated by intense agitation, irritability, and excessive speech; sunken eyes and pallor; extensive mouth ulcerations with a pale tongue, profuse salivation, foul breath, and swollen, painful salivary glands. Oral ulcers exhibit a grayish membrane. The throat presents raw soreness, ulcerated and inflamed mucous membranes, especially noticeable in those who speak frequently, accompanied by hoarseness and painful speech. Severe throat damage, including palate and fauces necrosis, is possible, along with intense faucial redness and dysphagia. Dark nasal bleeding, diphtheria affecting the larynx and nose, may also be present. Gastrointestinal symptoms comprise nausea, bilious or bloody vomiting, hiccups, abdominal pain and tenderness. Rectal symptoms include excruciating pain, anal redness, frequent bleeding with tenesmus, and the discharge of foul-smelling, gangrenous material, potentially resulting in black stools. Urinary symptoms involve amber, painful, scanty, albuminous urine, potentially indicating nephritis accompanied by severe weakness and chills, and urinary suppression. The skin may be clammy and icy cold. Dosage: Strictly as directed by a physician; compatible with conventional medications. Adverse effects: None reported.
