Mercury cyanide-based Mercurius Cyanatus finds application in acute illnesses, particularly respiratory and oral ailments. Characteristic symptoms include intense agitation, rage, and excessive speech; sunken eyes and pallor. Oral manifestations involve extensive ulceration, a pale tongue, profuse salivation, foul breath, swollen and painful salivary glands, and gray membrane-coated ulcers. Throat symptoms encompass rawness, ulceration, raw spots (especially in those who speak frequently), painful hoarseness, and potentially necrotic palate and throat tissue. Intense throat redness and dysphagia are common, along with epistaxis. Laryngeal and nasal diphtheria may also be present. Gastrointestinal symptoms include nausea, bilious or bloody vomiting, hiccups, abdominal pain, and tenderness. Rectal symptoms may involve severe pain, anal redness, frequent hemorrhaging, tenesmus, fetid and gangrenous discharge, and dark stools. Urinary symptoms include amber, painful, albuminous, and scanty urine; nephritis with debility and chills; and urinary suppression. The skin may be cold and clammy. Dosage: As directed by a physician; compatible with conventional medications. Adverse effects: None reported. Precautions: Maintain a 30-minute interval between ingestion and other substances. Avoid strong-smelling foods (e.g., camphor, garlic, onion, coffee, asafoetida) near administration. Strictly use under professional medical guidance.
