Mercury cyanide is the base of Mercurius Cyanatus. It finds application in acute illnesses, notably respiratory and oral disorders. Symptoms often include: intense agitation, outbursts of anger, excessive speech; sunken eyes and pallor; mouth ulcers; pale tongue; profuse salivation; foul breath; swollen, painful salivary glands; grey-coated oral ulcers; raw, sore throat; eroded, ulcerated mucous membranes; raw throat patches, especially in those who speak frequently; painful voice and speech; necrotic damage to the soft palate and throat; intense throat redness; severe dysphagia; dark nasal bleeding; diphtheria of the larynx and nose; nausea, bilious or bloody vomiting, hiccups; abdominal pain and tenderness; excruciating rectal pain; anal redness; frequent hemorrhaging; tenesmus with stools; foul, gangrenous-smelling discharge; black stools; amber, painful, albuminous, scanty urine; nephritis with weakness and chills; urinary suppression; clammy, cold skin.
