Mercury cyanide forms the basis of Mercurius Cyanatus. Its application centers on acute illnesses, particularly respiratory distress and oral issues. Symptoms include intense agitation, fits of rage; excessive talking. Eyes appear sunken; the face, pale. The mouth shows extensive ulceration; the tongue is pale, with profuse salivation and foul breath. Salivary glands are swollen and painful. Oral ulcers display a grayish membrane. Throat symptoms include rawness, soreness, and ulcerated, inflamed mucous membranes, notably affecting those who speak frequently. Hoarseness and speaking are painful. Severe tissue destruction may occur in the palate and throat. Intense throat redness is present, along with severe dysphagia. Nosebleeds may be dark. Laryngeal and nasal diphtheria may occur. Nausea, vomiting (bilious and bloody), and hiccups are common. The abdomen is painful and tender. Rectal symptoms include excruciating pain, anal redness, frequent bleeding, tenesmus, and foul-smelling, gangrenous discharge. Stools may be black. Urine is dark amber, painful, scanty, and albuminous, possibly indicative of nephritis with weakness and chills. Urinary suppression may also occur. The skin is clammy and cold. Dosage: Strictly as directed by a physician. Compatible with conventional medications. Side effects: None reported. Precautions: Allow a 30-minute interval between ingestion and other substances (food, drink, medication). Avoid strong-smelling substances (camphor, garlic, onion, coffee, asafoetida) near the mouth before and after administration. Use under professional medical guidance.
