Overview SBL Mercurius Solubilis 0/13 LM
Mercurius Hydrargyrum, also known as Quicksilver, is a remedy derived from precipitated mercury powder, offering both safety and therapeutic benefits. Symptoms are exacerbated nocturnally, during perspiration, in warm beds, and cold, humid conditions. Extreme sensitivity to temperature fluctuations is characteristic. Offensive breath and discharges are common. A predisposition to ulceration, hemorrhage, and tissue degradation is noted. Headaches manifest with intense heat and inflammation, accompanied by vertigo in the supine position and a tight, bandaged sensation on the scalp. Stinging, burning, foul-smelling eruptions and hair loss may occur; the scalp feels tense, with oily perspiration. Eyes experience burning sensations and corrosive discharges. This remedy is particularly well-suited for individuals working near fire or metal foundries. Nosebleeds, foul-smelling and bloody nasal discharges, nasal bone destruction, and sneezing triggered by sunlight are common. Yellow-green, fetid, purulent discharge is also observed. Nighttime nosebleeds and copious corrosive mucus are characteristic. Ears exhibit thick, yellow, fetid, and bloody discharge, along with earaches (otalgia) worsened by warmth and nocturnal stabbing pains. External ear boils may develop. Increased salivation and spongy gums are present. The tongue is moist, yellow, and flaccid, coupled with halitosis. Intense thirst for cold drinks and constant hunger are experienced, accompanied by stomach tenderness, hiccups, and regurgitation. Tremors, paralysis, and bone pain, particularly at night, affect the extremities. Profuse perspiration offers no relief, and itching intensifies with bed warmth. Fever is marked by increased sweating without relief, and alternating localized heat flushes. Dosage should follow physician's instructions, and concurrent allopathic medication is permissible. A thirty-minute interval should separate intake from food, drinks, and other medications. Avoid strong-smelling substances like camphor, garlic, onion, coffee, and asafoetida before and after administration. No side effects have been reported. Use under strict medical supervision.
