Overview SBL Mercurius Solubilis 0/16 LM
Mercurius Hydrargyrum, also known as Quicksilver, is a therapeutic agent derived from purified mercury powder. Its efficacy is heightened during periods of nocturnal exacerbation, sweating, and exposure to cold, damp environments. Patients exhibit extreme sensitivity to temperature fluctuations. Characteristic symptoms include fetid breath and discharges, a propensity for ulceration and hemorrhaging, and readily compromised tissue integrity. Headaches, often intense and inflammatory, are aggravated by lying supine, accompanied by scalp tension, and burning, foul-smelling eruptions. Hair loss is common, along with a tense, oily scalp. Eyes experience burning sensations and corrosive discharges. This remedy is particularly well-suited for individuals working near furnaces or in metal foundries. Nasal symptoms include epistaxis (nosebleeds), fetid and bloody discharge, nasal bone deterioration, and sneezing induced by sunlight. Yellow-green, purulent nasal discharge is also typical, along with copious, corrosive mucus. Ear symptoms manifest as thick, yellow, fetid, and bloody discharge; otalgia worsened by warmth and nocturnal lancinating pain; and external ear boils. Oral manifestations include excessive salivation, spongy gums, a moist, yellow, flaccid tongue, and halitosis. Gastrointestinal symptoms encompass intense thirst for cold drinks, polyphagia (excessive hunger), epigastric tenderness, hiccups, and regurgitation. Extremities may experience tremors and paralysis, accompanied by nocturnal bone pain. Skin exhibits profuse perspiration, yet finds no relief from it, alongside itching exacerbated by warmth. Fever is marked by excessive sweating offering no alleviation, and alternating localized heat flushes. Dosage should be determined by a physician and may be used concurrently with conventional medications. A 30-minute interval should separate ingestion from food, drink, and other medications. Avoid strong odors (camphor, garlic, onion, coffee, asafoetida) near the mouth before and during medicine intake. No adverse effects have been reported. Use only under professional medical guidance.
