Mercury, also known as Mercurius Hydrargyrum or Quicksilver, is a homeopathic remedy derived from purified mercury. Its efficacy stems from this preparation method, ensuring safety and therapeutic benefit. Symptoms worsen nocturnally, during perspiration, in warm beds, and cold, humid conditions; patients exhibit extreme sensitivity to temperature fluctuations. Offensive odors characterize breath and bodily discharges. A predisposition to ulceration, bleeding, and tissue degradation is common. Headaches are intense, accompanied by heat, inflammation, and a tight, bandaged sensation. The scalp may exhibit stinging, burning, foul-smelling eruptions, hair loss, tension, and oily perspiration. Eyes experience burning and corrosive discharge. This remedy is particularly well-suited for those working near fires or with molten metals. Nosebleeds, foul-smelling and bloody nasal discharge, nasal bone destruction, and sneezing in sunlight are also indicated.
