Known also as Musk, this homeopathic preparation originates from musk deer. Characterized by coldness, flatulence, and abdominal distension, it's especially indicated when symptoms worsen with cold exposure or drafts. Highly effective for fainting and convulsive episodes. Mental symptoms include uncontrollable laughter, palpitations, and anxiety. Gastric symptoms include a craving for black coffee and stimulants, but aversion to most foods due to tastelessness; fainting after meals; and spasmodic, nervous hiccups. In males, it addresses increased libido, premature aging, diabetic impotence, and post-coital nausea and vomiting. Female symptoms include early, heavy menses with fainting spells; dyspnea; a cough that diminishes but fails to produce expectorant; and respiratory distress, including chest tightness and asthma accompanied by intense anxiety, fear, and a suffocating feeling.
