This remedy, also called Musk, is a homeopathic preparation derived from musk deer. Characteristic symptoms include chilliness, flatulence, and abdominal distension, particularly exacerbated by cold or drafts. It's highly effective for fainting fits and convulsions. Mental symptoms include uncontrollable laughter, palpitations, and anxiety. Gastric symptoms present as a craving for black coffee and stimulants, alongside food aversion due to lack of taste, fainting after meals, and spasmodic hiccups. In males, it addresses heightened libido, premature aging, diabetic impotence, and post-coital nausea/vomiting. In females, it's indicated for early, profuse menstruation with fainting spells. Respiratory symptoms manifest as dyspnea, a cough lessening in intensity with retained mucus. This remedy is also valuable for asthma accompanied by intense anxiety, fear, and a suffocating feeling, as well as coughs where expectoration is difficult. Dosage should be as directed by a physician and may be used concurrently with conventional medications. A half-hour interval should be observed between this remedy and food, drink, or other medications. Strong-smelling substances (e.g., camphor, garlic, onion, coffee, asafoetida) should be avoided near the time of administration. No side effects have been reported.
