This remedy, also called Musk, is a homeopathic preparation derived from musk deer. Characterized by a pronounced sensitivity to cold, it addresses digestive issues like flatulence and abdominal distension. Its use is particularly indicated when symptoms worsen with cold exposure or drafts. It's highly effective for convulsive fainting episodes. Mentally, the patient may experience uncontrollable laughter, palpitations, and anxiety. Gastrointestinally, there's a craving for black coffee and stimulants, alongside an aversion to most foods due to loss of taste; fainting can occur after meals. Nervous, spasmodic hiccups are also common. In males, increased libido is noted, often coupled with premature aging and impotence related to diabetes; nausea and vomiting may follow sexual intercourse. Females may experience early, heavy menstruation with a tendency to faint. Respiratory symptoms include labored breathing, a cough that diminishes in severity but fails to produce expectorated mucus.
